I went to Kyoto and “Korankei” in Toyoda city for 4 days from Nov.20 in 2010.
In the morning on 20th, I left my home around 4:00am ,and I was near “Korankei” around 9:30,
and traffic jam had been already happening.
The charge of the parking area near “Korankei” was 500 or 800 or 1000yen.
The charge depended on the distance to “Korankei”.
It was about 10-minute on foot from the parking area
whose charge was the cheapest.
Considering the traffic jam to “Korankei”, I recommend you
to park your car as soon as you find an available parking area,
even if you’re supposed to a little walk.
Because parking area nearer “Korankei” will be full soon and
the charge is expensive.
Mt.Meshimori was near “Korankei”, and red leaves on the top
of the Mt.Meshimori were very beautiful. Those were more vivid than ones
near the river. I recommend you to climb Mt.Meshimori.
After “Korankei”, I went to Ohara to see cherry blossoms
called “shikizakura”. These cherry blossoms blooming in November
are rare ones we can see together with red leaves.
If I had been there 10 days ago, I could have seen them
more beautifully. But I don’t know whether red leaves were
in their peak or not 10 days ago. Seeing all of them in their peak is difficult.
That day, I stayed at Hotel Seta Urban and went to a bar
called “Gyare Rakuza” which I had examined in advance
to have dinner.
